We are about a half hour's drive from the city and have gone into town every day. We spent several days walking around the French Quarter. Eating, drinking and listening to great music!
Then after a tip, we traveled to the end of Decatur Street, onto Frenchmen Street. Wow!! The entertainment section of the street is just 4 or 5 blocks long, but it's all restaurants and bars, most of which have live music every night, with 3 bands, starting at 4 in the afternoon and going to midnight or beyond, on Friday and Saturday night!!
Then to top it off, there are people playing excellent music in the streets!! We are soaking it in!!
