From Hartford and Jordin and Daniel's sweet little home, we headed back to Boston and Larry and Mary's place. Hot games of Rumikub! Larry gets his crosstalk game going for sure, but newcomer Karen held her own! We watched the Royals and Mets, as well as the Patriots...
Then we went for a 24-hour quick trip to Cape Cod, staying at the home of Larry's parents in Mashpee. We met good friends Bob and Rita for lunch on Sunday before heading back to Beantown. Bob and Rita have been retired for years, always sending me postcards from their various destinations.

From Boston we headed back to Hartford to pick up the camper from Jordin and Daniel's driveway, an operation that went a lot smoother than getting it into the driveway. In the intervening days, the end of their driveway had been replaced by the road crew! Daniel had completed the wooden portion of the fence! A hard worker!!
We saw the movie The Martian. Excellent!! Jordin was working a 24-hour shift at her job as a physician's assistant. After many hugs upon her return in the morning, we hit the road again! This time for a quick overnight visit with Jim and Maureen in Ramsey, NJ. They had secured for us a beautiful camping spot in a county park not far from their home.
Dinner at an excellent Turkish restaurant, then our second movie in as many nights, The Bridge of Spies with Tom Hanks. Again, excellent! Crazy Jim and Maureen got to our campsite by 8 in the morning with egg sandwiches and bagels! Then off again!
This time we are at Larry and Mary's (not the Boston couple) in Bel Air, MD. Larry and I met in kindergarten and together formed half of Grandma's Rockers in high school. A short but interesting side trip to Gettysburg, featuring a movie narrated by Morgan Freeman.
Karen had the chance to have a chat with Abe. He mentioned that he is very disappointed with the Republican Party these days!

Then down to Bel Air, arriving after dark. A sweet bit of hugs and catching up, then fell into bed.
The next day we went for a long walk together, with more stories of retirement and the next chapters of our lives.
